How much does a dexterous hand cost? $2,066 to $110,000

How much does a dexterous hand cost in 2026? A hand you can order runs $2,299 to $13,000, while the widest recorded range reaches $110,000. Nine dated observations.

The short version

A dexterous hand costs between $2,066 and about $110,000 in 2026, and the useful figure for most buyers is $2,299 to $13,000 for a hand with a public price and a shipping date. The widest single-model spread recorded here is $5,600 to $20,599 for the same RH56DFX, which is a channel difference rather than a hardware one.

How much does a dexterous hand cost in 2026? Between $2,066 for a LEAP Hand v1 kit and about $110,000 for a Shadow unit quoted through a dealer. Take out the kit and the quote-only end, and the range a buyer can actually order from this quarter narrows to $2,299 to $13,000.

The spread is wide because *hand* covers three different purchases: a component, a research platform, and a configured system with a wrist adapter, cabling and warranty handling attached. Nine dated observations sit behind the table below, and four of them price the same model name differently.

How much does the same hand cost across channels?

One model name, four public figures. The Inspire RH56DFX appears at $5,600, $8,000, $10,500 and $20,599 in 2026 sources, a 3.7x spread on what a buyer would reasonably read as one part. None of the four listings states its configuration, which is the reason they differ: the higher figures attach a wrist adapter, cabling, warranty handling and English documentation, and at least one prices a configured system rather than a bare hand.

That is a channel fact, not a price trend. The RH56 price record keeps the four observations in separate rows with their original labels, and same hand, three prices works through what the extra money buys line by line.

The lesson for a budget is blunt. A quotation is a statement about a bundle. Until the bundle is itemized, the number cannot be compared with another number, which is why the RFQ template asks for twelve fields before a vendor can answer.

Is the domestic list price the price an export buyer pays?

No, and the gap runs from about 1.4x to 3x across the five makers with both figures published. AGIBOT's OmniHand 2025 is 14,800 RMB on a domestic self-operated storefront and $5,999 in a US listing. PaXini's DexH13 is 98,000 RMB at home and $19,800 abroad. The lowest domestic figure in the index is a promotion price, not a factory-gate cost.

LinkerBot O66,600-6,666 RMBC
AGIBOT OmniHand 202514,800 RMBA
LinkerBot L2049,900 RMBC
PaXini DexH1398,000 RMBC

Those ratios use approximate rates and exclude freight, insurance, the broker's charges and configuration differences, so they are not landed costs. The domestic price table keeps ten RMB observations beside six export comparators for exactly that reason, and the O6 record marks the 3,900 RMB row as a promotion with unpublished terms.

Do I need to budget above the list price?

Always. On a $5,000 hand, freight, insurance, the import figure your broker puts in writing, packaging and a warranty reserve commonly add 25% to 40%. The landed-cost guide works through each line with a worked example.

Two items carry most of the variance. Volumetric weight, because a hand ships in a foam-lined case far larger than the part, and the warranty reserve, because the party honoring the warranty changes with the channel. A dealer quote with twenty-four months of cover and a factory-gate price with none are not comparable numbers even when they sit $200 apart.

Which number should go into a budget?

Three lines, not one.

  • A first component: $2,300 to $4,600. Expect to supply integration. The DH116S publishes no fingertip force and carries IP30, and the LEAP kit arrives as parts with a sub-three-hour assembly.
  • A documented platform: $5,600 to $13,000. This band has specification tables, ROS 2 packages and a version number attached to the listing.
  • Above $13,000: a quotation. The Shadow record explains why no public list price exists to budget against, and the Allegro record shows what an unversioned listing does to a price history.

The quarterly price panel publishes observations with dates and evidence tiers instead of an average, and the method page explains the grading. An average across a 53x spread describes the sample, not the hand. For a buyer, the honest answer to how much a dexterous hand costs is a range with a channel attached: $2,299 for a bare six-degree-of-freedom component from a vendor storefront, $13,000 for a sixteen-degree-of-freedom platform from a dealer, and a written quotation above that.

Questions

How much does a dexterous hand cost for a first purchase?

Between $2,299 and $13,000 for a hand with a public price and a delivery window, checked November 9, 2026. The floor is a six-degree-of-freedom component from a vendor storefront; the ceiling in that band is a sixteen-degree-of-freedom research platform from a dealer.

Why is the same hand quoted at four prices?

Because a listing prices a bundle, not a hand. The Inspire RH56DFX appears at $5,600, $8,000, $10,500 and $20,599 in public 2026 sources, and none of the four states what the bundle contains. A wrist adapter, cabling, warranty handling and documentation account for most of the gap.

Is the cheapest listing the cheapest to own?

Not necessarily. No public service life is published for the two cheapest hands in the index, and one industry estimate puts replacement or repair at 10,000 to 20,000 RMB roughly every three months. A quarterly replacement overtakes a sticker saving within a year.

Does the price include freight and import handling?

Almost never. On a $5,000 hand, freight, insurance, the broker's written import figure, packaging and a warranty reserve commonly add 25% to 40%, which is the difference between an invoice and a landed cost.
