Price record
Chinese domestic prices: 3,900 to 99,900 RMB
Ten vendors, one domestic market, a 25.6× spread. The cheapest entry point fell from about 100,000 RMB in 2020 to under 4,000 RMB in 2025, and the export price did not follow.
Published Chinese prices for dexterous hands span 3,900 RMB to 99,900 RMB, a 25.6× range in a single domestic market. The cheapest entry point fell from roughly 100,000 RMB in 2020 to under 4,000 RMB in 2025. A US storefront snapshot from 11 August 2026 still shows a $380 to $35,000 shelf spread, so the collapse did not translate into one global price.

A brokerage framework cited in the same price survey divides the market into three bands: entry under 10,000 RMB, industrial mid-tier at 10,000–50,000 RMB, and research high-end at 50,000 RMB and above. Every band is occupied, which is unusual for a component category this young.
For scale, the same 2026 report puts the Shadow Hand at around 1,500,000 RMB historically, with high-end configurations at 1,600,000–2,600,000 RMB, and the Allegro at about $16,000. Those two numbers are the ceiling Chinese vendors priced against.

The counter-argument belongs in the table
- Inspire's CMO told a Chinese outlet that with industry shipments under 20,000 units the prior year, the market had not reached the scale usually meant by price competition, and that several thousand-RMB price points have a cost logic that is hard to sustain.
- A 2026 industry report estimates hands need replacement or repair roughly every three months at 10,000–20,000 RMB each, putting annual hand maintenance for a 50-robot fleet in the tens of millions of RMB. Cheap hardware with a short service life is not cheap.
That is why this site tracks published prices with evidence tiers instead of a headline average. Reliability, not sticker price, is where the next purchase decision gets made.
What is not verified
- The 3,900 RMB figure is post-promotion. Neither the provider, the eligibility conditions nor the undiscounted price is published, so it is not comparable as an ex-works cost.
- ROH-LiteS001 has an unresolved vendor attribution: an English report credits Orbbec Robotics, Chinese coverage credits OYMotion. Different companies.
- Band boundaries come from a brokerage framework cited second-hand and have not been traced to the original note.
Questions
What is the cheapest publicly listed Chinese hand?
The LinkerBot O6 Lite at 3,900 RMB after a platform promotion. The promotion conditions are unpublished, so it is not a comparable ex-works price.
Do Western buyers pay the same?
No. AGIBOT's OmniHand is 14,800 RMB at home and from $5,999 in the US. The gap is margin, import handling, warranty and bundled cables.
Is the price war sustainable?
Not according to at least one executive in the industry, who points to shipment volumes under 20,000 units and cost floors that several price points cannot cover.
