What these hands cost, with the date attached
Six records: four model timelines, one domestic market table, and a quarterly panel that will not publish an index until it has four quarters of data.

Dexterous hand price index: Q4 2026 baseline
This is the baseline for a quarterly price panel, not an index. With one observation date, an unstable channel mix and several quote-only models in the frame, a single in…

Allegro Hand: six prices, four labels, no trend line
Public Allegro Hand figures run from about $13,000 to $21,450. The likely cause is inconsistent labeling: one figure names the V5 at $13,000, another lists an unspecified…

Shadow Hand: the price is a quotation
Shadow Robot's own site says every robot is built to order and directs buyers to discuss pricing. The widely repeated $110,000 and 1,500,000 RMB figures are third-party e…

The rule
Every price carries a channel, a date and a tier. Where two sources disagree by more than 15%, both numbers stay. Nothing is averaged, because an average of two real quotes describes no transaction that ever happened.
Tier A is a documented list price. B means sources disagree. C is an estimate or press figure. D is quote only. The methodology explains how each is assigned.
Why a date matters more than a number
In 2020 a Chinese five-finger hand cost more than 1,000,000 RMB. Five years later the mainstream model cost about 20,000 RMB. A page that says "the Inspire RH56 costs $10,500" is wrong twice: once about the market and once about the channel. A page that says "$5,600 to $20,599, observed November 2026, four channels" is useful even after the price moves.
