Allegro Hand: six prices, four labels, no trend line

Public Allegro figures run from $13,000 to $21,450. The 43% spread is a labeling problem, not a price increase, and this page refuses to turn it into a chart.

The short version

Public Allegro Hand figures run from about $13,000 to $21,450. The likely cause is inconsistent labeling: one figure names the V5 at $13,000, another lists an unspecified Allegro at $21,450, and older reports quote roughly $16,000. All of them are published here with their labels.

$2,000 $5,000 $10,000 $25,000 $50,000 $100,000 Allegro V5, 2026 $13,000 Unversioned listing, 2026 $21,450 Press figures, 2026 $15,000–$16,000 USD, OBSERVED 2025–2026
Not a trend line. The two dealer figures may describe different revisions or bundles, and only one names a version. A 65% increase cannot be inferred from them.

The $13,000 figure is the most specific: it names a version, appears on a live dealer listing, and is repeated with 16 DOF over four fingers, 16 brushless DC servo motors and CAN or USB with ROS support. The $21,450 figure comes from the same dealer network and omits the version. That omission is the single most important thing on this page.

Why this is not a trend

It would be easy to write that Allegro prices rose 65% in a year. That sentence is unprovable for four reasons: the figures may describe different revisions or bundles, they were captured on different pages at different times, one names V5 and the other does not, and neither is a Wonik list price. Our method calls this a disagreement to publish rather than resolve.

It also changes the arithmetic in someone else's paper. The LEAP Hand's claim to beat the Allegro at one eighth of the cost needs a denominator. At $13,000 that implies about $1,625; at $21,450 it implies about $2,681. The published $2,066 kit sits between the two, so the claim holds up either way, but only if the denominator is stated.

What a real history would need

Per observation: date, exact revision, channel and country, currency, what the quote includes, and a captured page. That exists for the 2026 dealer listings and almost not at all for the older press figures. Until it is filled, this is a channel-spread table, not a history, and it feeds the quarterly panel as tier B rows.

What is not verified

Open fields
  • No Wonik published price list has been located, and no dated pre-2026 quotation.
  • The $21,450 listing does not state version, region or bundle.
  • Robotiq is often named as a channel in secondary sources; no attributable Robotiq price page was found, so no Robotiq figure appears here.

Questions

So how much does an Allegro cost?

Budget $13,000 for a V5 from a US dealer, and expect the number to move with configuration. The $21,450 listing has no version attached.

Is the $21,450 a newer, more expensive version?

Unknown. It could be a V4, a bundle, a different region or a stale page. The listing does not say.

Why publish conflicting numbers at all?

Because choosing one would hide the only reliable fact: the labels are inconsistent, and any trend built on them is unreliable.
