About
A record, kept in public
MechHand tracks dexterous robot hands the way a trade journal tracks commodities: price by channel, specification by source, and a date on everything.
Why this exists
Search for the price of a five-finger robot hand and you will find a number with no date, no channel and no indication of what it includes. The hand might be a kit, an assembled unit, an export bundle with a wrist adapter, or a figure someone typed into a comparison table in 2023. All four look identical on the page.
That is a fixable problem. It needs someone to write down which channel, which date, what was included, and what could not be found. That is the entire editorial premise here, and it is why the records look repetitive: the repetition is the evidence.
How it is built
Every page is generated from a structured record: a specification list, a price table, a list of open fields, sources and a changelog. The generator emits the HTML, the structured data and the sitemap. Nothing is typed twice, which means a corrected price propagates everywhere it appears.
There is no tracking script, no font download, no cookie banner and no analytics on this site. Pages are static HTML with one small stylesheet and one small script for sorting tables.
Who keeps it
An independent editorial desk. No company, no investors, no vendor funding, no advertising. The site is a few months old and the records are deliberately few: ten hands with real documentation rather than a hundred with none.
