LinkerBot is the most aggressive of the Chinese hand vendors on price, and the O6 is the model that made its name. It weighs around 360 g, uses linkage transmission rather than tendons, and covers six active plus five passive degrees of freedom on a five-finger hand. Public Chinese pricing puts the standard model at 6,600 to 6,666 RMB and a promotion-priced O6 Lite at 3,900 to 3,999 RMB.

Unusually for this segment, the vendor publishes a specification page detailed enough to build a purchase order from: bus options, supply range, repeatability, per-finger force, grasp force and joint range are all listed. That makes it one of the few Chinese hands whose numbers can be cited without translation guesswork.

The 50 kg problem

The vendor and the press both state a 50 kg load. No source states the test condition. Fifty kilograms is a structural claim, not a grasp measurement, and it sits on the same page as a 70 N five-finger grasp and a 20 N thumb fingertip force. Those are three different quantities. Until a datasheet defines whether 50 kg means a static hang, a suspended load or a rated structure, the figure is marked unverified and cannot be ranked against another vendor's fingertip force.

One unresolved field

The vendor's own page says 360 g. An English market report and a Chinese price survey both say 370 g. A 2.7% difference is small but it is the kind of thing that gets copied into a hundred spec tables, so both numbers stay in this record rather than one being quietly chosen. The same discipline applies to the 3,900 RMB Lite price: it is a post-promotion figure, the promotion terms are not published, and it is not an ex-works cost.

Who should not buy it

Do not buy the O6 for work that needs independent finger control, tactile arrays or in-hand rotation. Six active degrees of freedom over 11 joints produces coordinated grasp patterns, not dexterity. Do not buy it on the strength of the load figure either. A buyer who needs a documented force specification should look at the PaXini DexH13, whose vendor publishes 15 N per fingertip with a stated lab caveat, or at the Allegro for per-joint torque sensing.

What is not verified

Open fields
  • The 50 kg load figure has no published test condition.
  • 360 g versus 370 g is unresolved and published both ways.
  • O6 Lite promotion provider and eligibility are not public, so the price is not comparable ex-works.

Questions buyers ask

What does the LinkerBot O6 cost?

Public Chinese sources list the standard O6 at 6,600–6,666 RMB and a promotion-priced Lite at 3,900–3,999 RMB. The Lite figure is not an ex-works price.

Is the 50 kg load real?

Unknown. No source states whether it is a static hang, a grasp or a structural rating, so it cannot be compared with a 20 N fingertip force.

How many degrees of freedom does it have?

Six active plus five passive, over 11 joints. It should not be written as an 11-DOF hand.
