Unitree Robotics 宇树科技

A humanoid and quadruped maker that builds hands for its own platforms. The Dex5-1 and 5-1P are mechanically identical, and the P is a sensing package.

Unitree builds hands as an accessory to its own robots rather than as a standalone product line, and that shapes what buyers get. The Dex5-1 and Dex5-1P share one mechanical design, one parameter table and one supply chain. The difference between them is 94 pressure sensors in 12 arrays and roughly $2,000–3,000.

The documentation is unusually clear for this market. A two-column parameter table lists every field for both variants, including mass, dimensions, joint counts, fingertip force, repeatability, load cases and the feedback packet. Very few vendors publish that much, and fewer publish it in a form that makes the variant difference obvious.

What the documentation does not resolve

  • Price. No official Unitree list price for either hand exists on the pages we could verify. The $24,000 and $26,000–27,000 figures come from a third-party storefront snapshot.
  • Availability. One dealer listing states the Dex5-1 is not yet available with no confirmed release date, which conflicts with storefront listings that price it.
  • Compatibility. A dealer states the Dex5 hands work only with the G1 EDU (U1) platform and above. That is a material restriction for anyone mounting one on a different arm.

The company also sells cheaper end effectors in the same catalog, and its published US shelf runs from $380 to $27,000. That range is the most useful thing a buyer can know before assuming a Unitree hand is a budget option.

Questions

Does Unitree publish hand prices?

Not on the pages we could verify. Storefront figures exist but they are third-party observations.

Can I use a Dex5 on a non-Unitree arm?

A dealer states it is limited to the G1 EDU (U1) and above. Get written confirmation before ordering.
